An Important Pair of Louis XIV Ormolu Candlesticks
It is tempting to suggest that these very rare candlesticks being of very large scale with rich mercury gilding and having female maskswith their hair dressed with laurel emblematic of victory, were likely to have been made by Andre Charles Boulle for the King.
