A Fine George II Mahogany Irish Silver Table
Of fine colour and patination the rectangular top with carved dished lip, a scroll shape main frieze, centred by a paterae bordered by trailing carved acanthus leaves. To the hip of each leg, a further, delicately arranged, carved acanthus cap, with the cabriole legs tapering down to tight scrolling feet. The frieze, to the shorter side of the table, with a prominent carved central sunflower to either side.
Sunflowers are symbolic of adoration and known as joyous and flamboyant flowers.
